Youth Soccer
Tournament
May 17-18, 2008

 

We look forward to seeing you again this year at Concord Cup XV May 17-18, 2008.

Hosted by the City of Concord and Concord's youth soccer organizations, Concord Cup XV features boys and girls divisions in Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 19.

 

The tournament is open to AYSO and USCS teams from the Western United States.

  • Each team will play a minimum of 3 games

  • Medals will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place teams in each division.

  • Each player and coach will receive Concord Cup XV program, souvenir pin, and tournament T-shirt.  T-shirts for team and coaches will be preordered on line. Additional T-shirts, sweatshirts, pins, etc. may be pre-ordered or purchased on site during the tournament

  • New This year - Concord Cup will be using AYSO small-sided game format for U10 (7v7) and U12 (9v9).

  • Concord Cup is not hosting a Saturday night family dinner this year.

Acceptance into the Tournament:  Acceptance into the tournament is on a first-come basis plus referee participation.  To be accepted, each team must provide the name and contact information for its designated referee to the Tournament Referee Administrator ConCupRef@gmail.com and that referee is committed to officiate a minimum of three games.

Entry Fee: $450 per team ($425 for U10 and U-12).  AYSO Regions are "encouraged" to send one check to cover all teams from their region.  (Credit card payments are not allowed for AYSO teams.)

 

Other Fees:  The deadline for tournament check-in of teams is 9 p.m., Friday, May 16.  Teams may check in Saturday morning provided their first scheduled game is noon or later, the team pays a fee of $25 for late check-in, and the registrar agrees there is adequate staff to accommodate the late check-in.  Teams checking in on Saturday without prior arrangements may be required to pay a fee of $50 to accommodate their late check-in.

 

Referees: Referees interested in participating in Concord Cup XV are invited to send an e-mail to ConCupRef@gmail.com .

 

Age Limit: All players must have been Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, or Under 19 as of August 1, 2007.  (Under 10 games are 7v7, Under 12 games are 9v9).

 

Teams: All players must come from the same region or league. Each team is limited to 18 players on its roster (13 for U-12, 10 for U-10).  No “paper” teams.  Up to three guest players are allowed in accordance with the tournament rules.  Each team roster must be signed and certified by a regional commissioner.  USCS team rosters will be verified at registration for compliance with USCS registration regulations.  USYSA team registration and/or player passes ARE NOT ACCEPTED for participation in Concord Cup XV.

APPLICATION DEADLINE March 31, 2008

Teams must register on line to begin the application process. 

  • AYSO teams must pay by region check, payable to Concord Cup Soccer.  Please submit a separate check for each team application.  Returned check fee is $25.

  • USCS teams may pay by check or by credit card on line.

Absolutely no refunds after April 1, 2008.  Applications may be accepted after March 31 and are subject to a $25 late registration fee.
